Fast Jet Solo Display Pilot Safety Workshop
EAC – FJ SOLO DISPLAY PILOTS’ SAFETY WORKSHOP
Since the inaugural Viper Meeting in 2014 and the following year’s Fast Jet Solo Display Pilot Safety Seminar, every year at the EAC convention Solo Display Pilots of numerous Air Forces (Belgium, Czech, Finland, Greece, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey and UK) meet up in a specially arranged workshop.
We at EAC are very privileged to host such a unique and prestigious event that contributes significantly to professionalism, excellence and safety at Airshows.
2018’s Convention will start with the Solo Display Safety Workshop, especially arranged for the current and past Fast Jet Solo Display Pilots.
Once again, the objective of this distinct Safety Workshop will be concentrated in having an open discussion concerning Display Flying Safety, so that we can share our experiences of displaying Fast Jet aircrafts, while encouraging safety in the air, on the ground and for the watching spectators.
We also intend to share a summary of our “Lessons Learned” with all EAC delegates by making a presentation during the main Convention and I am confident that your representatives will find the whole event beneficial and challenging.
The Solo Display Pilots that attended last year’s seminar were:
- Finnish AF Lt Col. Mattila Jyri
- Polish AF Captain Dominik Duda and Captain Robert Pinkowski
- Slovakian AF Lt Col. Martin Kuterka
- Swedish AF Captain Peter Fällén
- Turkish AF Major Erhan Gunar
- United Kingdom RAF: Sqn Ldr James McMillan and Flt Lt Ryan Lawton
The overall feedback from all participants was positive, while the comments were very encouraging and supporting, such as:
“Very Relaxed, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere”;
“A good idea, well done and thank you”;
“Very much enjoyed, great opportunity to meet other Fast Jet pilots and share experiences.”;
“Very useful. Thanks for organizing!”
