The EAC Board is currently made up of 8 members who are all actively involved in the airshow business; It is a truly international group of people representing the interests of performers and organisers; Chairman: The Chairman of the Board of the EAC is Gilbert Buekenberghs from Belgium, who has been leading the EAC since the first Convention several years ago. Gilbert is also one of the airshow organisers representatives on the board. He has in fact been successfully organising the Belgian Sanicole Airshow for the past 30 years and has recently passed the responsibility for that Airshow to his son, Geoffrey; Board Member - Executive: Bob Dixon was a member of the Royal Air Force for over 30 years and a logistics specialist with a particular interest in transportation, fuels and explosives; Leaving the RAF as a colonel, a much easier rank to understand than Group Captain, he then commanded a Reserve Air Force Squadron before accepting the challenge of working with the EAC on a part-time, and now voluntary, basis. He has been involved in the organisation of Airshows and events at Airshows over the years, in the United kingdom and Europe;
Board Members The Board comprises people who are all volunteers with other heavy commitments and they identified the need for someone who could be more readily available and who could undertake the executive duties to respond to the priorities set by the Board and members in promoting excellence in all European Airshows and work with the Chairman in the organisation of the Annual Convention.

Convention EAC2014
Latest News about the next convention in 2014: the dates are 6-8 March; it will start with a Viper Pilots "Side Meeting" for the current and past F16 Demo Pilots, and, if this is successful,maybe this willbe the basis to organize, in 2015, a wider session for a Solo-display Pilots Side-Meeting to include all fast jet display pilots. Because everybody was very happy with the hotel and facilities in 2013, the Convention will be Antwerp again in the 4* Hotel Radisson Blue Astrid.
